One of the most intellectually impactful cities on earth is Aspen, Colorado and Julie was born in this forward-thinking environment. Raised in the family hotel, guests included Secretary of State Robert McNamara, and a myriad of successful entrepreneurs, actors, writers and ski bums, not the least of whom was her father who built a business literally brick by brick in downtown Aspen. The environment was rich in conversations with continual exposure to many perspectives and emerging trends. Ideas and solutions were bantered about in lively lobby conversations.

Back in the day there was a plug in switch board that President John F Kennedy would occasionally call in on a private line, "The president is calling for Secretary McNamara."  More interesting was the way the switchboard works - fully analog switches were fascinating to watch and understand.

Interest in computing started at the University of Denver in 1980 and later at a small company called Dataline Corporation, a company that served the hardware industry and launched in the basement of Hugh C Bell using hexadecimal to accommodate the variety of math required to change unit pricing as items go from tree to board feet and pallets to boxes of screws. In the role of customer service she absorbed the importance of grounding oneself before touching the computer and how accounting worked using computing, as opposed to the pencil and adding machine. Occasionally inputting code herself to correct errors, the team was able to create solutions on the fly when coding errors arose.

A child rearing hiatus was broken when she discovered desktop publishing, and was back in computing, website development and best practices of using the 1990's communication tools. . 

In the late 1990's she worked on a fully digital community with Thomas Leonard as "life coaching" became a profession and Coach U/ CoachVille were architected. Making people from all around the world feel fully connected to learning and communication tools, and to each other was an art of touchpoints through email marketing tactics and campaign strategies. Tying everything together through websites and digitally delivered materials led to certifications in the '00 years in optimization for websites, landing pages, customer journey, email marketing, etc.  leading to social media marketing  into 2010's. 

It was 2011 when, with appreciation for the personal connection with print marketing and augmented reality's ability to extend that information to digital experiences, she formed conBrio Publishing, LLC, dedicated to creating experiences that were not only entertaining but created a transaction or conversion to customer or sale, Julie was an early adopter of AR as an Aurasma / then HP Partner.

In 2015 Julie connected with MindAptiv, LLC in a project to use Essence for augmented reality. MindAptiv pivoted into another direction while Julie went into retirement,

Not for long as the language in "Sustainability" was often misleading or misconstrued. In order to craft better conversations she attended Arizona State University and received her master's in sustainability leadership - a sort of MBA in Global Sustainability Initiatives..

Recognizing the complex and comprehensive requirements to overcome much of sustainability's demands, she realized that MindAptiv is a solution to the computing lags in development. Put in people's hands around the world, solutions and innovation will lead to billions of ideas and collaborations facilitation when people can create their own computing frameworks.

That brought Ken and Jake back into view. Learning of the Apple OS changes and that they were dead in the water, she picked up the reins as Lead Investor and Chief Marketing Officer and leaned into the project of porting Essence onto other OSs.
