Seeking Investment to Scale for Launch.
Ken is the visionary leader behind MindAptiv. Throughout his 30+-year career in defense and intelligence, Ken has demonstrated the ability to see the big picture, and to then develop solutions while leading, inspiring and empowering others to achieve great things. His commitment to a highly ambitious vision, the Essence project, has enabled Jake (the MindAptiv Chief Scientist) to focus on the technical R&D for nearly 14 years. The result is the creation of what we believe will be heralded as the most revolutionary software framework and platform in the world. The adaptive applications that wrap flexible data structures in dynamic machine behaviors generated by Essence are a giant leap forward in computing.
Ken has over 30 years of experience in systems engineering, program/project management, and leading diverse teams on complex projects at companies large (Lockheed Martin, Titan Communications, L-3 Communications) and small (Advent Systems and InVisM) for national level agency clients. Ken excels at identifying solutions to difficult problems that require balancing innovative technologies and methodologies with political realities.
In 2010, while at InVisM, LLC, Ken was pivotal in the creation and implementation of advanced education and training solutions. Ken was the architect of InVisM’s Interactive Cognitive Learning System (ICLS) model, which was successfully employed on the Army’s, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance): ART OF WARFARE project (a ground- breaking ISR Synchronization and Integration learning system development effort).
Ken defined how to successfully combine the best of the film and video game industries with innovative technologies and methodologies for advanced visualization, simulation, and modeling, and the learning sciences. Ken’s work significantly advanced the learning of complex topics resulting in more effective utilization of critical systems.
In 2009, Ken provided first-hand experience in the application of the ICLS model as the InVisM PM for the GEO-STORM project (a National Intelligence University grant recipient developed under a National Security Agency contract). Applying award-winning capabilities developed for the advanced visualization of electromagnetic phenomenology, Ken led the successful fielding of a capability that is currently deployed at NSA, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and other National-level learning centers.
As a speaker at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), 2008 Technology Forum, Ken spoke to the value of utilizing convergent technologies and methodologies to enable increased understanding of complex topics (e.g. geolocation and collaboration).
Ken held a System Engineering and Technical Advisory position in the NRO’s Enterprise Transformation Office from 2004 to 2006. In 2004, as an advisor to the national agency level CIO community, Ken made the successful business case for transformational organizational change in the way the Intelligence Community provides situational awareness support to its customers.
2000-2003, Ken excelled at a variety of roles at Lockheed Martin. His efforts resulted in savings in the hundreds of millions of dollars across a number of highly complex facilities involved in national-level Satellite operations.
